Each afternoon you'll explore a new village, cut from the storybooks with their narrow cobblestone streets, and old women in their traditional black attire slowly making their way toward the call from a distant church bell. There is nothing like the smell of fresh brick-oven baked bread to set off your senses, as you look forward to an evening feast on all the hearty goodness of the Alentejan specialties, sure to satisfy your palate, accompanied by some of the country's award winning wines. Enjoy a tender helping of Porco à Alentejana, with roasted new potatoes smothered in a delicate rosemary and onion sauce, the very aroma of which sends us off into nostalgia for those Sunday dinner's with our own family.
