Day 1:
Arrive in Accra, Ghana and check in at the hotel Start the day with a visit to the W.E.B. Continue the tour to the Independence Square, where Ghana's first president, Kwame Nkrumah, declared the country's independence from colonial rule. Take a stroll through the Jamestown community, one of the oldest neighborhoods in Accra that served as a hub for the slave trade, and see the infamous James Fort and Ussher Fort, which were used as holding facilities for enslaved people before they were shipped off to the Americas. Day 2:
Start the day with a visit to Cape Coast, about a three-hour drive from Accra, and tour the Cape Coast Castle, a former slave-holding facility and the headquarters of the British Gold Coast.
