Brands We Have Worked With

During its two decades AWE365 and Adventure Sports Holidays have worked with more than 130 equipment brands reviewing hundreds of bit of kit. These range from the biggest, most well known outdoor and sports brands to specialist companies working in specific niches. We intend to continue working with brands as AdventureSportsHolidays.com.

Here are a few you may recognise:

Destinations We Have Worked With

It is not just brands that we work closely with but destinations. We’ve been on more than 200 press trips!

Impressed by our in depth reviews, tourist boards in the US, Japan, France, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, and many other countries, have invited us to visit. As have tour operators from Turkey, Macedonia, Slovakia, Morocco, Thailand, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Peru, Ecuador and many more.

None of the team were hermits before setting up the business and all are passionate travellers outside of work. We’ve lived (not visited but actually stayed and worked) everywhere from Australia to Argentina and Canada to the Canary Islands. As backpackers we’ve ticked off all the continents except Antarctica.

So the AdventureSportsHolidays.com team has personal experience of hundreds of adventure travel destinations around the world. But that is not all. We work with a network of more than 20 action sport and adventure travel writers. Combined we’ve visited thousands of destinations around the world, tried many of the activities on offer, and had more adventures than Tintin…

Goal of AdventureSportsHolidays.com

Our aim is to build the largest collection of adventure holidays, vacations, active day trips, extreme experiences and action sport courses worldwide. To provide impartial information, reviews from personal experience and advice from our own adventures. We don’t use AI to produce inferior copy that adds nothing new, but write from personal experience.

Ultimately we want every adventure, everywhere to be on AdventureSportsHolidays.com. To provide our visitors with more options than anywhere else. We want to help you arrange your next adventure holiday, to find an experience, to learn a new action sport, to travel to less visited parts of the world, or find the perfect place to stay.

The AdventureSportsHolidays.com Team

No company survives without a dedicated team working on it.

Luke Rees: Founder

Adventure was a big part of Luke’s childhood in Sussex, UK. So much so that exploring the great outdoors, being active, adventurous and doing extreme activities always felt like the norm. It wasn’t until he was a teen that he realised most people don’t grow up in that kind of environment.

From skydiving to scuba diving, wakeboarding to white water rafting, surfing to sailing, canyoning to canoeing and hiking to biking – Luke has tried most adventure sports and loved them all! But his two biggest passions are snowboarding and mountain biking.

He inevitably caught the travel bug from his parents and after studying Geography at Liverpool university spent time exploring the world. It was during this period that he discovered snowboarding, which changed his life. Quitting his job he moved to Whistler for the next ski season. What followed was an incredible winter of progressing from beginner to competent snowboarder – he knew he wanted to work in the industry.

Having worked in sales and marketing he eventually ended up running AdventureSportsHolidays.com in 2007. As the first employee he spent seven years growing it to a team of six. He left to set up AWE365.com in 2013 which he did until 2025, winning an award along the way. Recently he relaunched AdventureSportsHolidays.com.

Luke has won a French Mountains Media award for his writing, and has written about snowboarding for magazines such as InTheSnow, Love The Mountains and Family Traveler. He has produced content for websites including ABOM, Snow Guide, Snowboarding Days and many others. Luke also ghost writes blogs and content for brands and tour operators.

Luke fits in plenty of time for adventures. You’ll regularly find him mountain biking, hiking and jogging on the South Downs, paddle boarding and surfing on the coast and rivers near his home in Brighton, UK.

Plus you’re likely to find him in the mountains (any mountains!). He has snowboarded in more than 100 resorts across the Alps, Pyrenees, Scandinavia, US, Canada and Japan, plus less known ski destinations such as Turkey and North Macedonia.

Living and breathing action sports and travel, Luke leads Adventure Sports Holidays on its next adventure!

AWE365 and AdventureSportsHolidays.com

Most of you will have know us as AWE365, which we traded as from 2013 until early 2025. So I feel we need to explain what has happened…

After much investment, AWE365 LTD launched it’s long planned adventure travel directory just as COVID hit. Despite the challenges of the Pandemic we survived two years of negligible revenue. By 2022 we were hitting our targets and had an amazing two years.

Unfortunately, all of our eggs were in the search basket, and when AI become prominent in 2024 we did not adapt fast enough. Having borrowed money to get where we were, and through the COVID challenges, the business became insolvent. During the voluntary insolvency process Luke (the founder) purchased all of the AWE365 LTD assets, which he has used to create AdventureSportsHolidays.com.

At this point I need to make it clear that AdventureSportsHolidays.com is not a rebrand or a replacement of AWE365.com and it is in no way associated with AWE365 LTD. This is a new entity, built from the assets sold to Luke by the insolvency practitioner.
