If you’re in need of some ‘Reel therapy’, Out N About Sportfishing at Port Douglas have a trip for you!

Locally owned and operated, Out n About offers the opportunity to get out on the water and enjoy the regions beautiful surrounds while wetting a line. Experienced guides offer personalised service with a maximum of only 6 guests per boat. Affordable half day shared charters run from 8am-12pm and 12:30pm-4:30pm daily.

We also specialise in private charters for full or half day fishing experiences. Our crew work hard to ensure you have a great time out on the water. Port Douglas being such a versatile fishing region with so many choices of fishing grounds we can adapt to the conditions and very rarely need to cancel charters due to unfavourable weather. Be it fishing the outer reefs on a full day charter targeting those trophy worthy sportfish such as GT, Fishing the inshore reefs on a half day charter targeting the delicious coral trout or spending some time in the estuary and river mouths targeting some hard hitting snag dwellers such as Mangrove Jack we can cater a charter to suit you.

All tours depart from the public pontoon on Ashford Avenue behind St Mary’s church in Port Douglas.
Fishing on the fringing coastal reefs we are targeting the famed Coral Trout, Nannygai, and pelagic fish, such as Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Queenfish, and Trevally. If it is too windy for the reef, we are fishing in the Port Douglas estuary and river systems targeting Mangrove Jack, Fingermark, Bream, Tarpon and even the elusive Barramundi.

Your captain will provide your quality fishing equipment and live (where available) and locally sourced dead bait. There’s also complimentary fresh water and soft drinks on the boat but feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks.
