Águas Belas features the largest sea cave from the surface to the sea, making it one of the biggest attractions on Santiago Island.

Our full day caving adventure begins with transport from the city of Praia to the fishing area of Porto Rincão.

Before that, we will stop at the Assomada market, for a traditional Cape Verdean breakfast and to stock up on supplies needed for the trip.

Upon arriving in Porto Rincão, we will take a boat trip towards the caves, making stops along the way to enjoy the picturesque landscapes.

At the disembarkation point, we will take a rest period before warming up and selecting and adjusting your equipment. Before diving, there will be a briefing by one of our friendly and professional dive guides who will help you adapt your equipment in the water.

Finally, we will begin our underwater exploration.

Águas Belas is a breathtaking location, with passages through water caves and cliffs that invite adventurous jumps into the water, perfect for those seeking an adrenaline rush. Undoubtedly, it is an unmissable place.

We will then take a trip back towards Portinho beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Cape Verde, ideal for relaxation.

Next, we will return to Porto Rincão to enjoy lunch and a moment of celebration.
Finally, we will return to Praia

Full day caving adventure in Águas Belas, Cape Verde: Itinerary

Early Morning: Departure from Praia. The drive is approximately 50 minutes.
8:30 AM: Departure from Praia.
9:50 AM: Short stop at Assomada, Cruz de Picos Mirador for photos and to enjoy the amazing view.

Breakfast at Assomada

10:00 AM: Short stop at the Municipal Market for a traditional Cape Verdean breakfast (Cachupa, Fidjos, coffee, etc.) and to stock up on supplies.
11:40 AM: Stop at the Municipal Market for a traditional Cape Verdean breakfast (Cachupa, Fidjos, coffee, etc.) and to stock up on supplies.

Boat Ride: The ride is approximately 30 minutes.

12:00 PM: Arrive at Porto Rincão. Take a 6-minute walk to the boat boarding point.
12:30 PM: Arrive at the disembarkation point at Águas Belas Cave. Take a short break for water and snacks. Ensure it is a light meal to prevent any problems during the snorkeling tour coming next.

Return to Porto Rincão

3:35 PM: Get-together lunch, traditional food, and play some games
Return to Praia
4:50 PM: Arrange for a transfer from Porto Rincão to Praia. The drive is approximately 1 hour.
