Itinerary for Dhaulagiri circuit trek with Dhampus peak climb in Nepal:

Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu.
At the Airport terminal gate, you will meet our representative. He will take you to the hotel. Get freshen up and relax. Later, in the late evening, you meet with other team members on welcome dinner organized by the company.

Day 02: Sightseeing & preparation day.
After having breakfast, you go on a guided sightseeing tour of several UNESCO World Heritage Sites. During the tour, you get guided by a professional and experienced tour guide who will brief you about the monuments and its history. You visit places like Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhnath Stupa, Swayambhunath, and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

Day 03: Drive to Pokhara overnight in hotel.
You drive to Pokhara today. The drive will be long and offers scenic views of green hills, rivers, small settlement areas, and terraced farms. Upon reaching Pokhara, you move to the hotel. The rest of the day is free. You can explore the vibrant Lakeside market and do boating on the Few Lake.

Day 04: Drive to Darbang (1,180m); 6 hrs.
Today, you drive to Darbang. You get to see beautiful views of lush hills and snow-capped mountains during the drive. Further, following the Kali Gandaki River, you pass by Beni and then follow Myagdi Khola to reach Darbang.

Day 05: Trek to Sibang (1,750m); 6 hrs.
The trail ascends to a ridge where Dharapani is located. Looking over superb views of Gurja Himal, Mt. Dhaulagiri, and Putha Hiunchuli, you trek along a ridge and reach Sibang.

Day 06: Trek to Jugepani (2,000m); 6 hrs.
The trail today ascends to Jugepani. You will pass by small villages and forested path. Likewise, the trail also offers wonderful views of hills, mountains, and terraced fields.

Day 07: Trek to Baghara (2,080m); 7 hrs.
Trekking through many small villages, you move towards Baghara. It is going to be along trekking day, still the fantastic views will accompany you throughout the trek.

Day 08: Trek to Dobang (2,260m); 6 hrs.
Today, the trail is more challenging. The trail ascends to Dobang offering superb views of Mygdi Khola and terraced fields.

Day 09: Trek to Sallighari (3,100m); 4 hrs.
After having breakfast, you ascend towards Sallighar. The trail presents fantastic landscape views. From Dobang, you ascend on a steep path and reach Sallighari, where you will camp amidst a pine forest.

Day 10: Trek to Italian Base Camp (3,600m); 4 hrs.
The trail is going to be tough. Leaving Sallighari behind, you ascend and reach Italian Base Camp. From the base camp, you get to see wonderful views of several snow-capped mountains like Dhaulagiri range, Gurja Himal, etc.

Day 11: Acclimatisation day.
Today is the rest. You will rest and acclimatize your body before gaining any more altitude. You can explore the nearby areas and also go on short hikes.

Day 12: Trek to Chhonrdan glacier (4,200m); 5 hrs.
The trail gets adventurous day by day. Crossing a glacier, you use a rope to overcome a tricky section and ascends towards the main glacier. Be careful while on the way as the trail is dangerous. For safety, you will use the rope at many points.

Day 13: Trek to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,600m); 4 hrs.
The day begins early. From Chhonrdan glacier, the trail gradually ascends towards Dhaulagiri Base Camp. On the way, you get to see unbelievable views of Himalayan mountains and landscapes.

Day 14: Acclimatisation day.
This is another acclimatization day that will help you to regain your energy and adjust to the altitude. You spend the day exploring around and going on short hikes. Your guide will also brief you about the basic climbing skills that will help you to boost your confidence.

Day 15: Cross the French Coll (5,400m) and camp at the hidden valley (5,050m); 8 hrs.
The trail today ascends to French Coll. You will use fixed ropes at many parts for safety. After crossing the steep moraine, the trail becomes a little easy. Upon reaching the top of French Col, you get to witness irresistible scenery. From here, you move towards the hidden valley, where you will stop for the night.

Day 16: Ascent the Dhampus Peak (6,060m) and back to camp; 8 hrs.
The trek begins early in the morning. The trail involves long strenuous climb to the top of Dhampus Peak. Before reaching the top, you will cross the final 60 meters of ice bar using the fixed rope. From the top of the peak, you get to see a wonderful view of Kaligandaki. Later, you descend to the base camp for a night stay.

Day 17: Descent Marpha (2,650m); 8 hrs.
The trail descends to Kaligandaki riverbed offering excellent scenery. From here, you trek and reach Marpha, the apple capital of Nepal. At Marpha, you get to see numerous apple orchards and get to taste apple brandy, apple pie, and many other delicious apple products.

Day 18: Trek to Jomsom (2,800m); 5 hrs.
Leaving Marpha behind, the trail moves towards Jomsom following the Kaligandaki river upstream. Jomsom is the biggest town in the Annapurna region and has many facilities like wifi, communication, medical, and big markets.

Day 19: Fly to Pokhara and then to Kathmandu.
Today, an early morning flight will take you to Pokhara. The flight will be short and presents stunning views of Himalayas. After landing at Pokhara, you take another short and scenic flight to Kathmandu.

Day 20: Leisure time in Kathmandu.
You are free to do anything today. Explore lively streets of Thamel, visit unexplored monuments, and do shopping. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner organized by the company.

Day 21: Back to home.
