Family multi-activity holiday in Cape Verde itinerary:

Day 1 - Arrival in Cape Verde.
You are welcomed at Sao Vicente Airport and transferred to your accommodation in Mindelo. You settle in the city center. Depending on your flight schedule, you can enjoy this first afternoon to stroll through the streets of the cultural capital of Cape Verde or visit the beach.
Meals are not included.
Accommodation: Hotel.

Day 2 - Heading to Santo Antão Island - Cova Crater - Espongeiros
Early morning boat to Santo Antão. Arrival at Porto Novo Port, then transfer towards the Corda Road passing through Cova Crater. Your guide and muleteer await you for a donkey ride excursion through the forest planted during the Portuguese era. In the afternoon, continue to your accommodation at Plateau de Lagoa. A day with the donkeys.

Day 3 - Aguada Village
From Espongeiros, various routes allow you to descend to the village of Aguada (Ribeira Grande Valley), offering extraordinary views of its large plantations of sugarcane, yams, and cassava. Overnight stay with a local family.
Breakfast, picnic, and dinner included.
Walking time: 3 hours and 30 minutes
Elevation gain: 100m / Elevation loss: 850m

Day 4 - Hike in Cha de Pedras Valley - Caibros - Coculi
After breakfast, we leave the beautiful village of Aguada and pass through the Cha de Pedras Valley. We follow a trail with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding valleys before reaching the village of Caibros. We visit a magnificent waterfall in the village. After the hike, we transfer to Coculi where you will stay at a hotel with a swimming pool.

Walking time: 4 hours / Elevation: -750m +750m

Day 5 - Car excursion from Ribeira Grande to Ponta do Sol - Fontainhas - Paul - Porto Novo (Return to Mindelo).
After breakfast, we leave the charming village of Coculi by car for a full day of excursions. We visit Ribeira Grande Valley and continue by car towards Ribeira da Torre Valley (Xoxo), an agricultural valley. We then visit the fishing village of Ponta do Sol and the famous village of Fontainhas perched on a hill.
We have lunch at a typical restaurant before visiting the Paul Valley and a local rum distillery. After the excursion, we continue along the coastal road of Janela towards Porto Novo, and then return by boat around 4 pm.
Breakfast and lunch at a typical restaurant are included. Dinner is free. Accommodation: in a hotel.

Day 6 - Island Tour: Mindelo - Monte Verde - Baia das Gatas - Calhau.
Departing from Mindelo, explore Monte Verde, the highest peak of the island, and enjoy the panoramic view of the city and the surrounding islands. Descend and continue the journey to Baia das Gatas, the bay of the cat sharks, a favorite resort for the locals on the island.

Continue along the beautiful beach of Praia Grande until reaching Calhau, a small fishing village. Return through the central oasis of Calhau, where local farmers cultivate small plots and sell their produce in the markets of Mindelo.

Day 7 - Snorkeling/Turtles - Free afternoon
After breakfast, departure around 10am to swim with the turtles, accompanied by local fishermen from the village of São Pedro. Free afternoon to enjoy the beach.

Day 8 - Have a safe journey back home, my friends!
According to your flight schedule, a transfer will take you to the airport.
