Inca Jungle Trail 4-Day Multi-activity Holiday in Peru: Itinerary

Explore the iconic Machu Picchu by hiking through the Inca Jungle Trail adventure tour, which combines different activities on the way to the lost city of the Incas.

Day 1. Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Habra Malaga - Santa Maria (Biking and Rafting)
The adventure in the Peruvian jungle begins in Cusco. Our guide will collect you from your hotel, then we drive 1.20 hours to reach Ollantaytambo. Here we will have a short stop. You'll have a chance to take a breakfast, buy some items, or just use the restrooms. We continue our hour-long drive to Abra Malaga, 4,316 meters (14,160 ft), where we start our mountain bike with stunning views of the valley and snow-capped mountains around.
We'll be descending for about two hours through incredible landscapes and seeing how the mountains turn in the high tropical jungle. Have a lunch and embark on our whitewater rafting during the afternoon.
We spent the first night in Santa Maria town, 1,200 meters (3,937 feet).

Day 2. Santa Maria - Quellomayo - Hot spring - Santa Teresa (Hiking Day)
We wake up with a fresh jungle breakfast prepared by our local family. Then we begin hiking into the forest by exploring some local families, where we will have the chance to see some bananas, papayas, coffee, coca, oranges, and more plantations. We will reach the Inca Trail, which offers amazing views, and your guide will explain to you the history of the Incas.
We hike to the restaurant to enjoy our lunch, and you will get a well-deserved rest on our hammocks. In the afternoon, we hike for a couple hours, following the Urubamba Valley with spectacular views, to reach the hot springs of Cocalmayo. You will take your time to soak and relax with this medicinal natural hot water.
Hike to Santa Teresa Hotel.

Day 3. Santa Teresa - Zipline - Hidroelectrica - and Aguas Calientes Town (zipline and hike)
We wake up around 7 a.m., enjoy our delicious breakfast, and try one of the best coffees in the area. Then we embark on the zipline and get all the instructions for this fun activity. It takes about 2 hours to fly over the valley with its breathtaking vistas.
Then we drive to Hidroelectrica, where we'll get our lunch. Finally, the last section of the hike, which takes about 3 hours by following the railway, has some amazing views. You also have the chance to see a bit of Machu Picchu and Wayna Picchu.
In the afternoon, your guide will accommodate you at the hotel. At about 6:30 p.m., you will get dinner before going to bed and resting enough for the most important day that comes on day four.

Day 4. Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
In order to see Machu Picchu early in the morning before the crowds arrive, we will wake up about 5 a.m. and walk to embark on the bus, which will take you to the main checkpoint of Machu Picchu. Once you have passed the control with your tickets and passport, we will hike up to the classic spot where you can capture the panoramic view of Machu Picchu and enjoy the majestic view around you. You will be amazed by the build and location of this iconic Inca site. Then your guide will provide you with all the information you need about the history of this seven-world wonder.
