Peak Climbing in Nepal is one of the top adventure tourism activities in the Himalayas. There are two types of categories of peak climbing in Nepal. Classified by Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA). Most trekking peak climbing is often associated with group \’B\’ classified by the Nepal Mountaineering Association. And group \’A\’ peak climbing in Nepal is described as all mountains regulated by the Nepal Mountaineering Association(NMA) classified Group \’A\’ Mountain Expedition Peak Climbing may require experience and technical climbing skills.

There are Nepal currently has a total of 15 Group \’B\’ NMA Trekking Peak Climbing. These peaks do not exceed 6500 meters in elevation and are, can be reasonably climbed from the base camp with the possible use of a high camp. To be climbed, these peaks typically require several mountaineering skills and the use of specialized mountaineering equipment, such as crampons and ice axes. The general routes to the summits of these mountains are all challenging enough to warrant a mountaineering difficulty grade by the International French Adjectival System.

In Nepal, few peak climbing requires no technical knowledge to climb, which may also be considered trekking peaks. Those trekking peaks are not under the Nepal Mountaineering Association. A large number of tourists of these peaks climb each year and trek in the region without the use of specialized climbing equipment. The routes to the summits of these mountains may not be challenging enough to warrant a mountaineering difficulty grade by the International French Adjectival System.
