Close to Newquay, our Beginner Bodyboard lesson in Crantock is hands-down the quickest and easiest way to experience the thrill of wave-riding.
Course Content
For your Newquay beginner Bodyboard lesson in Crantock you will need to arrive 15 minutes before your lessons start time, upon arrival you will check in at the welcome desk where you will be greeted and directed to your surf coach who will provide you with all the equipment you will need.
Once the group is ready your coach will lead you to the waters edge where you will be given a safety brief and an introduction to the lesson. After a short practice on the beach you will head into the water and practice catching and staying on the waves and how to turn on the wave.
Once you can catch a wave and ride it to the shore your instructor will take you back to the beach to provide feedback on your technique. You will then be shown more advanced skills such as trying to spin on the wave.
The rest of the session will be spent in the water (unless your instructor feels more coaching on the beach will be beneficial to you) practicing what you have learnt. Throughout your lesson our coaches will be on hand providing feedback on each wave to get you catching and riding waves comfortably.
