St Lucia is a gorgeous Caribbean island that really does have it all. From its clear waters and coral reefs, up to its green mountain peaks, it is one of those places you just can’t stop looking at. Add to that a friendly vibe and laid-back local culture, and it could just be the perfect place for a holiday. Make it a St Lucia paragliding holiday, and it definitely will be.
St Lucia’s landscape means it has some great views for paragliders to take in from the air. It’s a really special place to fly, with rocky ridges and green hills stretching down to the beaches. Away from the big resorts, much of the island has a wild, remote feel.
The paragliding industry is not well-developed on the island, so would-be pilots will need to be willing to do some of the groundwork themselves. Winds can be strong, though, so it pays to be careful: take local advice when planning a flight.
Beginners and inexperienced pilots will need to stick to flying in the resorts using a parasailing outfit. With a lack of paragliding infrastructure around, it’s not a place to take your first solo flight! But those with their own wing and some decent experience under their belt should be able to get up in the air.
St Lucia makes for a stunning place to fly. Its strong winds mean that it can be difficult to find the ideal time to fly, but it can be done, and is worth the wait. It’s also a great place to combine paragliding with other adrenalin sports – everything from skydiving to rock climbing is on offer.

Do you have any paragliding contacts and sites in the Carabbean (I know about Dominican Republic) but am looking elsewhere for 4 day beach trip with spouse.
I would be happy to write up something if I can.
Thank you
Sorry Michael I am lacking contacts in the Caribbean…
