Douro Walks is an operator settled in Ervedosa do Douro, Portugal, a village on the southern bank of Douro River. We’ve created Douro Walks, a project based on hiking tours and experiences in Douro Valley.
Our family works in the terraces of vineyards, olive and almond trees for generations. We and our team are committed with the Douro culture and landscape and we intend to share that with you.
Our programmes are private and customizable and are meant to provide an authentic look into the sights, traditions, food and wine of Douro Valley. Everybody needs a place to call home. Douro Walks is no exception.
Douro Walks has now its home. A simple one. It is the place where we welcome our guests, where we get ready for our walks, where we taste our products, where we share our Douro.
The walking paths are a way of accessing the fields. Apart from that, they are a window to the cycles of nature, to the culture, the work and daily life in the Douro. Thoreau said: «The fastest traveler is the one that walks». We believe in that.
