EcoFunco

Welcome to EcoFunco, an ecological accommodation in Cape Verde.

The concept

Funcos are the traditional houses of Chã das Caldeiras. They have a circular shape and the facade is made of volcanic stone.

In the EcoFunco version, each bedroom has its own private bathroom with hot water. In an ecological concern, the furniture is made of pallets. Rainwater is captured to supply the well and the water used is recycled and reused to water the plants and to flush the toilets. Electricity comes from solar panels and we have water heated by a solar water heater. Unlimited WiFi is also available for guests.

Located at the foot of the volcano, EcoFunco is the ideal place to discover Chã das Caldeiras and the starting point for hikes (ascent of the volcano, via ferrata, descent to Mosteiros, trekking in the Bordeira).
