High Falls Gorge is a 22-acre, privately owned nature park. Since the1890’s, we provided safe trail access for all ages to an otherwise inaccessible narrow granite walled gorge with four spectacular waterfalls. Stroll through the Climax forest a protected area of established American hemlock trees.
Witness the Ancient Valley of Foaming Water a mesmerizing crevice carved by the AuSable River. Touch one of the oldest rocks in the world – our Anorthosite boulder estimated to be over 1.5 billion years old. Admire one of New York’s largest natural potholes.
Experience beautiful wildflowers, fall foliage and the lush colors of the gorge. In the winter enjoy our spectacular ice formations and mile long snowshoe trail. Don’t forget to visit The Rive View Cafe for a snack break or hearty lunch. Discover unique and handcrafted gifts at our Gift Shop.
