This half-day introduction to scuba diving course in Belize will give you a hands on sample to the basics of scuba diving, scuba gear and skills, and an exciting Barrier Reef Dive – all done under the direct tutelage of our caring Ambergris Divers Scuba Diving Instructors.
For those who want to experience scuba diving for the first time, and for those who want to take advantage of the opportunity to dive in the Caribbean waters of Ambergris Caye while on vacation, but don’t have enough time to complete a full course, this PADI Discover Scuba Experience is the perfect option for you.
The PADI Discover Scuba Experience, is a short Try-Dive experience for adults or children 10yrs+. It introduces you to the basics of scuba diving, via a short in-class and hands on gear and skills training, covering the basics on scuba diving skills, equipment, underwater communication and safety. Followed by an amazing Reef Dive among a vibrant coral and colourful marine life! The “DSD” is an excellent option to get a taste of scuba before deciding to dive into a full certification course.

A PADI Discover Scuba Course is an ‘experience’ only format, and does not earn a dive certification.
Dependent of student ability and comfort during the DSD subsequent dives may be allowed within the week, under direct supervision of an OWSI (fee applies).
Discover Scuba skills and dive may also credit towards certification provided you enroll with Ambergris Divers (same dive center that performed the DSD) within the same week.
