Costa Brava is famous for its weather and landscapes and nowadays also for its perfect roads, ideal to cycle all year long. One of the best roads in the whole Mediterranean Sea is the road from Tossa de Mar to Sant Feliu de Guixols. Incredibly nice!
On that road, we can enjoy 25 kilometers of coastline, steep sections with stunning views over the normally calm Mediterranean Sea. Two factors play in favor: you can roll there throughout the year and traffic is very scarce. More? The asphalt is perfect and the guardrails along the road are made of wood, matching the environment. It is a very special road and even on windy days, you can enjoy better the atmosphere of clear sea and views.

We will start at Caldes de Malavella train station, which you can reach easily from Barcelona.
After a few kilometers for warm up, we will climb a short hill (Coll de Terra Negra or Coll de Tossa) and will start a very fast descent to the coast, to Tossa de Mar. We will stop to take some pictures of the famous Castell de Tossa, a castle right on the beach, stunning!
From that point, we will start the best road in Catalonia, not a flat one, indeed! Rollers, climbs, magnificent views, cliffs, hidden beaches... A true show.
On the way back to Caldes de Malavella, we have many options depending on how fit you are. More climbing, easy come back in a gravel path, whatever you need!
