Saona Island Multi Activity Tour in the Dominican Republic

Get ready to enjoy a Saona Island multi-activity tour in the pristine, virgin beaches of the Dominican Republic.

We will be waiting for you at Bayahibe, the starting point of the excursion, to board our boat that is suitable for all family members.

Get ready for a small group excursion to Saona Island! First, we’ll pass by Penon where our English-speaking guide will provide some information about the history of this cliff and the famous Taino indigenous people who were its first inhabitants. Then, we’ll venture into mangroves – Palétuvier trees growing directly in seawater.

Finally, we arrive at our first stop on Saona Island: Mano Juan village. We’ll take a walk through it and get an insight into local life on this paradise island – their colorful houses, typical small shops and friendly residents. Of course, we won’t miss out on visiting a turtle nursery run by a local family. They use whatever means they have available to incubate eggs laid during nesting season and release baby turtles back into the sea after hatching. Please note that seeing newborns is not 100% guaranteed as it depends on seasons and hatching cycles.

It’s time for lunch! We’ll enjoy delicious Dominican food with breathtaking views of Saona Beach from a restaurant nearby. Lobster is available during season (July 1st – February 29th) at $25 per person. After lunch, we’re off to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island – Canto de la Playa where you can relax or go snorkeling.

Our last stop is at a natural pool where guests can admire giant starfish (please do not touch them). You can also swim in shallow water while sipping drinks like true Dominicans before returning via Bayahibe port with unforgettable memories.
