Itinerary
5 day Thailand Motor Cycle ride Itinerary
Day 1 - Pattaya to Ayutthaya
Following a short tour induction at company HQ Route 66 Pattaya the tour party departs the province of Chonburi and commences a nice easy ride up to Ayutthaya, Ayutthaya is a rural province in south-central Thailand. Life is centered in and around the ancient capital of Siam (Thailand). Famous artifacts include a much revered carving of Buddha's head in a tree trunk.
Riding approx 210 km, we will first take in the Eastern Seaboard and skirt Bangkok, before heading into the countryside and up to our final destination.
Time to explore when we arrive and this will be your first overnight stop.
Day 2 - Ayutthaya to kanchanaburi
After breakfast a nice sweeping ride of around 155km across to Kanchanaburi.
A fascinating area with tragic yet interesting history. An area of great natural beauty, a must for all military buffs as we detail the history of the Thailand–Burma Railway via an interactive museum and information centre, and a thought provoking visit to the allied cemetery and walk across the bridge of the river Kwai itself.
Also plenty for nature lovers as the area is rich in Pineapple plantations, sugar cane farms and of course traditional rice paddies.
If you're a lover of temples then a short distance away is the Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Cave Temple) hill top temple with stunning views.
Overnight stay at kanchanaburi
Day 3 - Kanchanaburi to Sai Yok
Following a leisurely breakfast it's a enjoyable gentle ride of around 120km up to Sai Yok National Park.
We also cut through Erawan National Park and arrive just before lunch at Sai Yok where we will stay overnight in a floating hotel in Saiyok District directly on The River Kwai.
The hotel stop also encpompasses an exciting raft ride on the river Kwai and if you're up for it a dip in the river.
Lots of time in the afternoon to explore the area, or chill by the river. Overnight there is indeed something soothing about falling asleep to the lapping sounds of water.
Day 4 - Sai Yok to Khao Yai
Post breakfast back into the saddle for a scenic ride that takes in some great climbs and deep valleys as we run West to East across central Thailand.
We cross several provinces with an eclectic mix of topography, sights and sounds. With a light lunch break we will arrive late afternoon for our overnight stop and the final farewell dinner.
Day 5 - Khao Yai to Route 66
It’s farewell to Khao Yai after a great farewell evening as we head back down to eastern Thailand and finish back at company HQ Route 66 Pattaya.
