Itinerary

Itinerary for the 8 day Multi-activity Adventure in North Wales.

Day 1.
Arrive in Bala ready to check in to your hotel from 14:00. Why not spend your afternoon exploring Bala’s pretty high street.

Your welcome meeting will take place at 18:00 followed by dinner for you and your group at the hotel. How better to get to know each other while enjoying locally produced food and a few Welsh beers.

Day 2.
You're going canyoning! Get ready to climb, scramble, jump and splash your way through the challenging terrain of a hidden river gorge for a truly fun but physically demanding experience. It’s a full day out in a stunning part of North Wales - enjoy the views as you abseil down waterfalls and leap from rocks into the river below!

Enjoy a free evening in Bala to relax after the physical activity of canyoning.

Day 3.
Zip up your wetsuit, jump on your raft and head off for a morning of whitewater rafting. The Tryweryn river is a famous dam release rafting location in Wales. Ride upper Tryweryn’s natural, Welsh mountain whitewater rapids in an adrenaline fuelled morning.

Spend your free afternoon exploring more of Bala and the surrounding area. Perhaps take a walk along Bala lake, watching the wildlife and kayaking across the lake.

Day 4.
Get ready to go hiking! With your bags packed, your adventure tour continues with the next two days spent hiking and paddling your way through the beautiful Snowdonia national park.

Your guide will take you along the less trodden paths to the famous Snowdon summit. Take in the epic views of this famous national park with its iconic peaks and stunning lakes.

This evening you’ll relax in a remote off-grid bunkhouse, tucked away at the foot of Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales and England. It’s an incredible place to kick back and gaze up at the dark starry night sky in this International Dark Sky Reserve.

Day 5.
Fuelled with a hearty breakfast, hike to the shores of Llyn Padarn, one of the most famous lakes in Snowdonia. Here you’ll swap your hiking boots for a kayak and set off to paddle this stunning lake. Enjoy a totally different perspective of the mountains as you glide across the water.

This afternoon you’ll be hiking back from Llyn Padarn to the bunkhouse to enjoy another starry night in the foothills of Snowdon around the campfire.

Day 6.
After breakfast you’ll be hiking out from your remote bunkhouse to be collected and taken to Menai Bridge.
Hold on tight for an action packed RIB trip along the Menai Strait. Along the way you will get the chance to see Garth Pier, the second longest in Wales. With the wind in your hair, taking in the amazing views while the RIB will make its way back in a fast, fun and exhilarating blast back to base, with bumps and turns along the way.

Once you’re back on dry land, you’ll be collected for the short drive to Beaumaris, ready to check in to the hotel that will be your base for the next few nights.

At one time Wales had over 600 castles and today 100 of those still stand, either in ruins or restored. One of the most impressive is Beaumaris Castle with its ‘walls within walls’ design. If you have some energy left, spend the rest of the afternoon exploring this fascinating historic town and its magnificent castle at your own pace, or perhaps grab a shower and tuck yourself into bed for an early night.

Day 7.
Enjoy a free morning to relax and explore the many boutique shops and cafes of Beaumaris.

Optional activity:
We like to offer something extra to do in the afternoon so you can take control of your adventure and tailor it how you like. This afternoon’s activity is not for the faint-hearted - but then you wouldn’t be on this adventure tour if you weren’t up for a kick of adrenalin, would you!

You’re in the home of the world’s fastest and Europe’s longest zipline, where you can fly through the air at speeds of over 160kph! It’s exhilaration in its purest form. Hurtle headfirst over the old slate quarry, now a vast blue lagoon, and lay claim to having done the world’s fastest zipline. Spaces fill fast so book quickly.
Cost: £95 per person

Jump, climb, scramble and swim your way along the coastline of Anglesey this afternoon! Coasteering combines the best of rock and water-based activities, and North Wales offers one of the best coasteering experiences you can find. Scramble across rocks, get swirled around in the water and climb tough walls as far as you can before crashing back into the waves.

It’s a truly exhilarating experience and a fantastic way for you to get up close and personal with the rocky Welsh coast for your final day of adventure.

Day 8.
It’s the last morning of your adventure tour, so it’s time to pack your case and swap details with your new travel buddies.

Our minibus will take you back to the tour starting location in Bala so you can make your way back home. Expect to leave the hotel at 10:00.
