If you can mountain bike but have never seen what an emtb can enable you to do…this is the course for you. Go further, higher, longer and escape for several days in the mountains. If you are a seasoned e-biker this course will also be great to show you what it is like to ride an e-bike in the high mountains with stunning views of the Mont-Blanc massif. You will also enjoy some of the low level technical single tracks on the valley balcony routes and ridges. Over the week, a 2 day trip will be planned with a night spent in a mountain refuge, remember to bring a sleeping bag or sleeping bag liner.

Itinerary

Itinerary for the e-mountain biking holiday in Chamonix, France

Optional early arrival

Check in between 17:00-19:00 followed by an evening meal (extra fee).

Arrival day

Arrival between 10:00 and 17:00. Free day to explore the local area or relax by the pool. Welcome meeting at around 18:00.

Day 1

Get to grips with a session on handling, technique and maneuverability, during which you learn how to manage the e-bike which is much heavier than a normal mountain bike. You will be taken on a short ride to get your legs going along one of the superb trails of the Chamonix valley.

Day 2

Head to the Swiss border to Le Chatelard, via the famous stagecoach trail, and return via Le Tour area to fine-tune your descent technique.

Day 3

You will leave for an excursion up to the nature reserve of the Aiguilles Rouges massif. Ascent towards the Bérard waterfall then to Refuge Loriaz.

Day 4

Departure for a 2-day trip, on a route with a rolling profile to Les Houches. You will go up to Prarion where you switch to the Chamonix Valley and Val Montjoie. You will take the old Roman road of Notre Dame de la Gorge to access the refuge. Evening in the mountains and night at a refuge.

Day 5

You will discover the depths of the Contamines valley, then descend to Le Fayet, via the Chemin du Diamant Vert. You will ride up to Lac Vert, on the heights of Servoz, to finish via a chilled route along the riverbank of the Arve de Argentière. Service and complete clean up of the mountain bikes and return of equipment.

Departure Day

Morning free time or head up to the Aiguille du Midi (your lift pass is still valid) for a view of Mont Blanc, check-out by 14:00.
