Italy is one of Europe’s most bio-diverse countries, with around 57,000 species! Anyone who has been to its famous cities, such as Rome, Florence and Venice, will know how stunning its man-made habitats can be. But its natural habitats are just as stirring. They are also very varied: from the snowy peaks of the Alps, through forests and gentle hills, to the subtropical climate of Sicily and Calabria.
