The Bahamas is a dream holiday destination for all sorts of reasons. One of them is its windsurfing. New Providence is the Bahamas’ largest island and home to its capital, Nassau. It’s a bustling and friendly place fringed with beaches. It’s the ideal place for windsurfing beginners to get started, with easy access to lessons and equipment hire. There are also some great spots to be had, with excellent flat water sailing along the north coast. Wave sailors should head west to Lyford Cay. Grand Bahama is another good choice, with easy access to hire gear and lessons.
Those with experience and perhaps their own gear can really explore in the Bahamas. With a little local knowledge, you’ll find some fantastic spots around its many islands. Most of the Bahamas’ spots are flat-water – great for racers and freestylers.
