Europe’s sunny southern coastline is the obvious choice for many wakeboarders. With a forgiving climate and summer water temperatures well into the twenties, the resorts of the Mediterranean are great places to wakeboard. You’ll find wakeboarding operators in most big (and many small) resorts in Spain, France, Greece, Italy and beyond into Turkey and the Black Sea.

With generally calm waters, wakeboarding in the Mediterranean is great for beginners as well as advanced riders. Check out some of Greece’s blue, flat-water bays, or Spain’s great choice of wake parks and camps.

Away from the sea, you’ll find some truly spectacular Europe wakeboarding on it’s lakes. Head to the Italian lakes region for fantastic wakeboarding on Lake Como and Lake Garda. Explore the French resort of Biscarosse, where lakes in the forest lie a few kilometres from the beach. Combine wakeboarding on the lakes with kitesurfing on the beaches! In Eastern Europe, try the lovely Lake Iskar near Borovets, a watersports haven fringed by sandy bays.

If you want to try cable wakeboarding, Germany is the place to be. The country has around 50 cable wake parks and is one of Europe’s wakeboarding hotspots.

Pretty much everywhere you find water, whether sea, river or lake, you’ll be able to wakeboard in Europe.
