On the Nepal Bhutan Tour with Boundless Adventure, you’ll start your trip with sightseeing in Kathmandu on the first day. Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, and Boudhanath are beautiful places in Kathmandu that you’ll explore on the first day of the Nepal Bhutan tour. Per the itinerary of Boundless Adventure, your second day depends on your preference for taking a helicopter tour of Everest Base Camp. After experiencing the beauty of some parts of Nepal, you’ll have a flight to Bhutan on the third day. Travelers land at Paro, the Bhutan airport, then drive towards Thimphu. The fourth day is sightseeing in Thimphu: Chorten, Zilukha Nunnery, and the Changangkha Temple. Day 5 includes exploring other areas of Bhutan, consisting of a drive from Thimphu to Trongsa and seeing different places.

Continuing the tour of Bhutan, the sixth day is visiting the royal palace, a hike to Prakar Monastery, and exploring the Yathra Weaving Centre. Besides that, the day includes visiting the temples of Bumthang Valley. The seventh day is all about sightseeing in Bumthang and driving towards Punakha. From day eight, you’ll return from the tour and move towards Paro. The ninth day is for sightseeing at Paro, and on the tenth day, travelers fly back to Kathmandu. Day 1: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Your day starts with a warm breakfast at the hotel and then a drive towards Kathmandu Durbar Square. On your sightseeing day in Kathmandu, Kathmandu Durbar Square in Basantapur, Kathmandu, is your first sightseeing point. Kathmandu Durbar Square was a royal palace in ancient times; therefore, it still holds cultural and historical significance. Various architectural styles, Hanuman Dhoka Palace, Kumari Ghar, and numerous temples are the places you'll visit at Kathmandu Durbar Square.

After visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, you'll drive towards Pashupatinath temple. Pashupatinath temple is a religious site and one of the sacred Hindu temples. If you are non-Hindu, you can't enter the main temple of Pashupatinath, but there is no need to worry as you can explore many other places in the Pashupatinath. After Pashupatinath's visit, you move towards Boudhanath stupa. Boudhanath stupa is a religious site for Buddhists and a symbol of Buddhist heritage and their spiritual practices, rituals, and culture.

After visiting the UNESCO heritage sites, we'll drop you off at your hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Day 2: Fly to Paro, Drive to Thimphu
After breakfast at the hotel, our team member will drop you off at Tribhuvan airport. You'll have a flight to Paro, an airport in Bhutan. When you land at Paro airport, our staff will pick you up. After an hour's drive from Paro, you'll reach Thimphu. Upon reaching Paro, it would be afternoon. The city of Thimphu, including Tashichho Dzong and the Memorial Chorten, is your sightseeing point of the day. Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 3: Thimphu Sightseeing
On the third day of the tour, Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, is your visiting destination for the day. Thimphu is a unique combination of cultural, historical, and natural beauties. Thimphu has many places to visit; even if you roam around the nearby areas, it would be a wonderful experience for you. Early in the morning, you'll go for a memorial chorten made in memory of the third king of Bhutan. In Memorial Chorten, you can engage in worship activities with locals, or you can engage in meditation there. Zilukha Nunnery and the Changangkha Temple are your exploration points in the evening. After visiting Zilukha Nunnery and the Changangkha Temple, paper factories are another visiting point. Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 4: Thimphu to Trongsa
Early in the morning, you'll set foot at Punakha, the prior capital of Bhutan. The route takes through Dochu La Pass, known for stunning views of Bhutan's Himalayas, including Gangkar Punsam and other Eastern Himalayan ranges. After enjoying time at Dochu La Pass, you'll pass through dense forest and get to Punakha. After enjoying some time at Punakha, you'll move to the last pass, Pele Pass, at 3500m. Pele Pass is Bhutan's other highest mountain pass, offering panoramic views of the mountains. Your lunch will be at Chendebji Chorten stupa, and after lunch, you'll proceed towards Trongsa. Trongsa is home to the historic Trongsa Dzong. Once we reach there, you'll explore some areas and stay overnight.

Day 5: Trongsa to Bumthang
Departing from Trongsa, you'll go to Yotang La Pass after finishing your morning meal. The trail from Trongsa to Yotang La Pass is a beautiful forest with stunning mountain views. From Yotang La Pass, Chumey village, known for traditional yathra weaving, is where you get after descending from Yotang La. Then, after the gentle walk, Bumthang will be before you. At Bhumthan, you'll visit Dzong, Kurjey Temple, Tamshing Temple, and Jhambhey Lhakhang in the afternoon. Moreover, the beer factory is the next visiting point if allowed. Overnight at Bumthang.

Day 6: Bumthang sightseeing and drive to Punakha
Your sixth day starts with sightseeing at Bumthang on the sixth day. After exploring the beautiful village of Bumthang, you'll drive towards Punakha. Chimi Lhakhang temple is a prominent area one can visit before reaching Punakha. A short hike takes you to the temple, where you can explore the area. The Chimi Lhakhang temple is known for fertility blessings and scenic beauty. After the temple visit, your journey continues, and you will reach Sopsokha village, pass through a terraced field, and reach your day's destination, Punakha. Overnight at Punakha.

Day 7: Journey Punakha to Paro
Leaving Punakha, you'll drive through hilltops to reach Paro. Dochula Pass, known for 108 memorial stupas and breathtaking views, is on during the drive. Enjoying the view of the Dochula Pass, travelers get to Paro. After getting fresh, the National Museum and the Rinpung Dzong are your visiting areas in the evening. Overnight at Paro.

Day 8: Sightseeing in Paro
Eight days is your final day visiting Bhutan. On this day, Paro City is the traveler's visiting area, which provides visitors with culture, history, and natural beauty. Right after the morning meal, you will head for Tiger Nest. Tiger Nest, also known as Paro Taktsang, is a famous monastery on a cliffside in Bhutan. Although you have to go to Tiger Nest through the short hike, throughout the trek, the stunning surroundings will accompany you. In the afternoon, travelers visit the National Museum of Bhutan if allowed. The museum provides insight into Bhutanese culture, history, and art at the national museum. After sightseeing at Paro, you'll get back to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9:Flight back to Kathmandu
After breakfast, say goodbye to the state of Bhutan, and we'll drop you at Paro Airport. Within one hour of a beautiful flight that provides insight into mountain views, you'll reach Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. We will drop you at the hotel after landing at Kathmandu airport.
