Itinerary for 14 day ultimate South African adventure tour
Day 1 - 4: Arrive in Durban and head down the coast to a beautiful seaside town where you will be based for 3 nights. Activities included: surfing, Oribi Gorge tour, shark cage diving. Optional activities: Scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, mountain biking, golf, micro-lighting and at the gorge - Abseil, zip-line or gorge swing (highest commercial in the world).
Day 4 - 7: Head up into the Drakensberg mountains for 3 nights as part of this Durban multi activity trip. Activities include: Hike to the top of the 2nd highest waterfall in the world and other hikes. Also, an overnight stay in a cave (optional), but included.
Day 7 - 9: Tugela River Valley. Stay at the Zingela River lodge on the Tugela River, an absolute hidden gem. Activities on offer: White water rafting, mountain biking, abseil and hiking or just chill and enjoy the tranquillity.
Day 9 - 10: Overnight at the seaside city of Durban. Enjoy some nightlife, a cultural tour, shopping or a range of activities including a chance to jump off the Moses Mabida Soccer stadium.
Day 10 - 12: Head to the small town of St. Lucia, in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park. Take a hippo and croc boat cruise on the estuary and do a day trip to Cape Vidal reserve beach. Hike the beach, swim or snorkel). Optional extras include a kayak on the lake, night drive in the reserve or whale watching or turtle touring (Both seasonal).
Day 12 - 14: Visit the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Big 5 Game reserve. Enjoy 3 days of game viewing, with the chance to see the Big 5 and a whole host of other wildlife. Take a wilderness walk, an exciting chance to get out on foot and explore nature. Optional extras include a visit to the elephant interaction or cheetah rehabilitation center.
Day 14: Back to Durban for flight out.
