You’ve probably noticed the increased attention kitesurfing’s getting! It’s definitely one of the sports of the moment. But there’s a side to it you may not have spotted – strapless kitesurfing.
New to the sport a year ago, I thought kitesurfers were strapped in, similar to snowboarders. Well some are, some aren’t.
Twin-tippers are strapped in and ride boards that have, well, twin tips. But the riders that really grabbed my attention are the strapless kitesurfers using surfboard style boards. Riders such as Mark Moore, Lee ‘Pasty’ Evans and Melissa Gil.

Mark says: “Ocean passion. Friendship and waves – the best things in life. The only thing better than finding stoke is sharing it.” Sounds good to me!
