In the realm of activewear, finding the perfect pair of leggings often feels like an impossible task. So check out this Helly Hansen Women’s Roam Trail Leggings review to find out if perfection is possible.

I’m currently living in the French Alps as an Alpine Ski Racer. So I do a lot of fitness and strength training, meaning I’m always on the lookout for durable activewear that can keep up with my lifestyle. I have worn these leggings during different activities and environments to see how they perform.

The first thing I noticed when putting on these leggings was how comfortable they were. They passed the squat test with flying colours and despite being lightweight, these leggings offer warmth and breathability, making them suitable for various activities even wintery runs in the Alps.

The HH Women’s Roam Trail Leggings have a smooth and almost silky texture made from 75% Polyamide and 25% Elastane giving you freedom of movement. The minimal Flatlock seams don’t dig in or cause discomfort, I could wear them all day.

Plus, the textiles have been through Bluesign® accreditation, an independent verifier that guarantees the material is free from any hazardous chemicals. This gives customers confidence that they are purchasing a product that meets the highest safety standards.

Colour and Fit

I love the colour options of these leggings! They come in iron oxide, black, sparrow or the vibrant hickory shade I chose, it adds a pop of colour to any outfit. I like the small HH logo on the side of the leggings. It adds a subtle touch of branding without being overly flashy or distracting.

As a fan of high-waisted leggings, I appreciate that these provide that coverage and support. I’m 163cm and 63kg and went for a medium, the fit was tight but not restrictive and gave me the flexibility to move in anyway I needed. However, I did find they bunched up at the ankles, it was minimal but something to note.

Pockets and Adjustable Waistband:

One of the common issues I’ve had with leggings is the waist slipping down during exercise or over time the waistband loses its elasticity. Luckily, during this Helly Hansen Women’s Roam Trail Leggings review, this has not happened. They have an adjustable inner drawstring for a customizable fit, ensuring they stay in place no matter the activity.

Another plus is these Roam Trail Leggings have a generous envelope pocket at the back. This is perfect for stashing your phone and money. I tested the security of the pocket whilst on a run and had no casualties.

Review by a Pro Skier: Conclusion

In conclusion, Helly Hansen’s Women’s Roam Trail Leggings are a great asset to your activewear collection. Whether you’re hiking in the Alps, working out in a gym, running locally or simply lounging at home, these versatile leggings are up to the task.

As mentioned above they do slightly bunch up at the ankles but that could be due to my height (5ft,4). I have found this a problem in the majority of leggings I purchase.

Despite this minor drawback, I found these leggings excel in comfort, style, and practicality. They have quickly become a new favourite in my workout wardrobe.

Coming in a £60 they are leaning more towards the high-end price of leggings. But I can tell the quality and durability of these leggings will withstand daily wear and rigorous workouts, making the extra cost worthwhile in my opinion.
