Khumbu is a region in eastern Nepal famous for Mount Everest the Sagarmatha National Park and Goyko lakes. Sagarmatha is the Nepalese name for Mount Everest and it the world tallest mountain that dominates the area. Khumbu trekking holidays are very popular with a number of popular routes including the Everest Basecamp plus some less well trodden ones.
