SUP is now a global sport but it has Hawaiian heritage. In Hawaii they call it “Surfing with Aloha”. In the early 60s, the Beach Boys of Waikiki would stand on their longboards and paddle out with outrigger paddles to take pictures of the tourists learning to surf.
