St Anton is a popular ski resort in Austria, with a reputation for adventurous skiing and snowboarding, a lively nightlife and luxury facilities. St Anton is part of the Arlberg region, a huge area of connected ski resorts and runs through the Tyrolean mountains. The area is a playground for snowsports fans, including snowkiters. Take a St Anton snowkiting trip and find out for yourself!
Snowkiting is a growing sport in St Anton, and in Austria as a whole. Snowkiters in the area have a good choice of areas to play in, with some good freeride terrain near the resort, as well as lakes and slopes around the other resorts in the region.
There are a growing number of snowkiting schools and stations in the area around St Anton. Lake Achensee is a popular centre, especially with beginners and intermediates who can take advantage of the flat lake to practice on. Lessons and equipment hire are available from local schools.
The resorts of Lech and Zurs are also good places to head if you want to kite. Like St Anton, they have plenty of off-piste ski areas, which also make great snowkiting areas. There are endless opportunities to ride up the hills and ski down them in the Arlberg region. And you’ll never be far from a resort or village where you can get transport and food.
Take a St Anton snowkiting trip and discover a different way to explore the Alps. Beginners will find some nice easy terrain on Achensee and other local lakes, while experts will be able to take advantage of the ski lifts (or use their kites) to get up to the top and explore the vast off-piste slopes.

Hi Max – sorry but we do not work with any companies currently that offer snow kiting in St Anton. However when I was in the Arlberg ski area a few years ago I saw some people doing it. If you find someone please let us know so I can update the article and help the next person who asks.
